History:

LWLC began and continues with people.  People gathered initially in 1996 and worshiped, prayed, studied, and served the community as God's servants. With the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) the faith community grew to the role it developed for itself, i.e. Blessed to Serve; Called to Build. It became a formal mission outreach of the ELCA in 1999.  Pastor Tom Miller was received as Mission Developer and Pastor in August 1999.  On January 20, 2002, LWLC became a chartered congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with Bishop Gerald Knoche preaching and presiding at the service.  In October 2003, Pastor Mark Walters became the Pastor. LWLC continues to endeavor to serve and to build.
