We refect on the story of Jacob and Esau reconciling. But then we look at what happened right after they shook hands and made up. Jacob and Esau went their separate ways. So, we ask the question--Did these to fellows reconcile, or ultimately fail to reconcile? And what is reconciliation to beging with? Is it about returning to the way things have been? Or is it something else? Pr. Matt leads us in reflecting on these questions, and suggests that this story teaches us at least one thing about reconciliation. The first step is restoration of the person that is hurt.
